Be part of Talkoopäivä in Aalto!

Join the national day of Talkoopäivä in Aalto.
On Saturday May 17th, Aalto University invites the staff, students, alumni and other community to take part in the National day of Talkoot.

There is work to be done, such as cleaning up the forest, gardening and painting pathways. The bulk of the work will be done around ADD LAB (Aalto University Digital Design Laboratory), Puumiehenkuja 5. This area will undergo some major development in the future so come and take part of the forthcoming new campus plans.

Food will be provided to the participants and there will also be a few restaurant day participants available. In addition ADD LAB will organize 3D-printing demos and information on Aalto University’s Factory Valley concept will be available.

Save the date: Saturday May 17th from 11am to 5pm.

Don’t know what at Talkoot is?

Talkoot (from Finnish: talkoo, almost always used in plural, talkoot) is a Finnish expression for a gathering of friends and neighbors to accomplish a task. The task of the talkoot may be something that is a common concern for the good of the group or for an individual.

CALL FOR RESTAURANTS on Working Bee Day / Restaurant Day at Aalto!

On Saturday, 17 May, Aalto University invites the staff, students, alumni and rest of the community to take part in the National Working Bee Day. The area of Puumiehenkuja block will undergo some major development in the future and this day will be a nice opportunity to take part in the forthcoming new campus plans.

This day also happens to be the Restaurant Day, so if you feel the master chef inside you or just fancy contributing in some other way and help on Working Bee Day, please contact heikki.sjoman@aalto.fi (050-3849719) who coordinates catering and join your restaurant with other Aalto kitchens that will feed the hungry working bee participants!
