In the summer, AYY often has vacant apartments that can be rented to temporary residents with fixed-term contracts. In the summer, mainly anyone can become a tenant if applicants do not include an adequate number of AYY’s members eligible for housing or other students. The summer housing season is from 1st of May unti 31st of August. Summer tenants are mostly offered fixed-term contracts of 2-4 months.

Ths summer apartments are usually located in Otaniemi, Espoo or in East Helsinki. Unfortunately we don’t have any studios available for summer apartments. We will make offers on the apartments that are available.

Housing rents do not change in any way during the summer months. Rental information is available on the Domo system.

AYY’s pleasant three-storey building is located in pleasant, park-like surroundings in Puotila. The Haarniskatie property contains large, 35-square-metre studios and compact two-room apartments with good layouts. All the apartments have an open-plan kitchen and a balcony or terrace. Many studios have an alcove, and some have a bedroom separated from the rest of the living space by a small partition wall. Puotila has its own little shopping centre with a grocery store and restaurants, and the wide range of services at the Itäkeskus shopping centre are just over a kilometre away. Helsinki city centre is just 20 minutes from Puotila on the metro, while the metro journey to Otaniemi takes half an hour. Puotila offers great outdoor opportunities: the area is home to a number of parks and a small wooded area, and there is a popular walking route along the shore around Vartionlahti.
