The new and great Otakaari 18 A stair keys can be handed out to the tenants beginning from 1st of July.

The building is still under construction during June. This means that AYY can’t hand out keys to anyone who is not working on the construction site before the date agreed with the construction crew. Unfortunately this means, that AYY just can’t hand out keys, even if the tenant really honestly promises that he/she wouldn’t enter the building before July. Moving into the building is therefore impossible before July.

The Housing Office is open on Tuesday 1st of July between 09:00 – 16:00.

AYY’s Representative Council has decided on 27.3. that there will be a renovation of the building Vaasankatu 10 started in October 2014. Living in the building during the repairs will be impossible. Therefore all current leases will be terminated so they end at 30.9.2014.

AYY will try to offer new apartments for all tenants of Vaasankatu 10 who have been given notice for their lease. To do this, AYY adds an extra score point (1) for all the housing applications of the tenants of Vaasankatu. In practice this means that all tenants of Vaasankatu will get a replacement apartment from AYY, except if they make only a very few and very restricted housing applications.

The extra score will be added to all prior applications made by the tenants. Also, all future applications made by the Vaasankatu 10 tenants will be awarded an extra score also. The extra scores will be in effect until a replacement apartment has been accepted by the tenant.

AYY will start offering the replacement apartments from the beginning of August.

Instructions for the tenants: Make an application in the Campus system for all the housing queues that you are ready to accept an housing offer from. The more applications you have, the more likely AYY can offer you a suitable apartment in time. If there are no possible apartments we can offer to you while respecting your wishes, then you will have to organize your accommodation in some other way beginning from October.

In the notice for rent increases there was information about the back account number changing. All tenants have been sent the new bank account numbers.

The new bank account numbers are already in use and can be used to pay the rent immediately. The old bank account numbers will also work for the time being, so the rents paid to the old accounts will also come through. Please still start using the new account numbers soon, so the change won’t be forgotten.

The reference numbers will not be changed and you can use the old reference numbers even after changing the bank account number.
