1. BADGE SALES ON MONDAY 15 APR AND THURSDAY 25 APR

May Day is gradually approaching and it is the best time to earn some extra funds for your association. Teekkari Section will arrange badge sales in front of Hall M on Monday, 15 Apr and in connection with Akateeminen Wartti on Thursday, 25 Apr. In the event, we sell your badges at the prices that you have determined. All income from the event comes directly to you (-5 % to cover cash flow costs and losses) and you will naturally get back all the unsold badges. The maximum number of badges is 50. The maximum number for guild badges and other popular badges is 100.

Your share in all of this is as simple as Äpy sales.

  • Fill out the form below: https://lomake.ayy.fi/teekkarijaosto/merkkimyynti-badge-sales/
  • Arrive at LĂ€mppĂ€ri (LĂ€mpömiehenkuja 2) and head to Valtakunta, where you return the form that you have filled in (http://www.tinyurl.com/merkkimyynti) and deliver badges for sale (separate different ones) in a cardboard box available in the room.

Badges delivered before 13 Apr will be sold on 15 Apr. The official DL is 19 Apr, so badges delivered before that and those left from the previous sales will be sold on 25 Apr. You will get your badges back when the persons in charge of badge sales recovers from May Day celebrations.

Please note that there is also possibilty to bring your badges to the AYY central office (LÀmpömiehenkuja 2) on Sunday 14.4. from 3pm to 6pm. The doors are locked so call +358 503011931 (Kim Kavander) or +358 407276021 (Juha Jokela) and we come to open the door.

Income from badge sales are paid by bank transfer to the association’s account. In other words, a private person’s badges cannot be sold. Due to the system used by AYY, the account provided by the association must be an account of the association and not a private person’s account.

2. CRAZY JOHN CHECKPOINTS

May Day will be here surprisingly soon and the traditional long-awaited Crazy John event is also approaching! At the event, teams of 4-10 people go around Otaniemi, performing a series of checkpoints and competing for the title of ”the craziest bunch of engineering students”. The question is: would your association like to arrange a checkpoint for the event?

If you are interested and would like to organise a checkpoint in Otaniemi and have a great time at the same time, please register in here by Friday, 19 Apr. If your association does not have a club room and you would like to arrange a checkpoint indoors, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will try to provide the necessary facilities.

Revision: What, where, when?

  • Time: 29 Apr 2013, 10pm-1am, after the opening shot of the night prank
  • Location: Around Otaniemi
  • Concept: Groups of friends tour checkpoints in Otaniemi battling for the title of ”the craziest bunch of engineering students”. The winner will be published in the declaration of May Day celebrations.

As a bonus, we offer one free rental of Otaranta rooftop sauna in the next summer or autumn for the association which arranges the best checkpoint! For further information, please contact Teekkari Culture Directors (juha.jokela@ayy.fi and kim.kavander@ayy.fi). Registered associations will receive further information later.
